About Me and HD

177
Hi! I am a North Carolinian in the early stages of Huntington’s Disease. I have three marvelous at-risk sons, two awesome stepsons, and the most handsome, intelligent, honest and innately good husband that anyone could ask for. That’s him with me, up there. Our family is rounded out by a German Shepherd Dog and a Miniature Poodle. I also have a best friend, Nina, who helps me deal with the real world. She is determined that I get the most out of every day that I have, so she and my husband suggested that I start this blog.

I’ve compiled my experiences into book about my journey with HD. You can read about it on the sidebar.

With this blog, I hope to make many connections with people all over the world based on our shared experience with the monster.

  4. Sarah, thank you for your honesty. While we each have burdens to bear, so seldom do we bare our souls and infirmities to others for fear of being judged or pitied. I applaud your determination to stand strong and be yourself regardless of what tomorrow may bring. It is authentic and has a meaningful impact on others.
